Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NeighbourDesk (neighbourdesk.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

These terms apply to:

Society administrators (paying customers)
Residents (users invited by society admin)

2. Description of Service

NeighbourDesk provides a cloud-based housing society management platform including:

Plot and resident management
Monthly billing and collection tracking
Complaint management system
Notice board and announcements
Visitor log management
Google Maps integration
WhatsApp notification support
Reports and analytics

3. Account Registration

Society admins must provide accurate information during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
One account per housing society
Sharing admin credentials with unauthorized persons is prohibited

4. Subscription and Payment

Setup Fee:

A one-time setup fee is charged upon account creation
Setup fee is non-refundable after onboarding is complete

Monthly Subscription:

Monthly fees are due on the 1st of each month
Failure to pay within 15 days may result in account suspension
Suspended accounts retain data for 30 days before deletion

Price Changes:

We will provide 30 days notice before any price increases
Continued use after price change constitutes acceptance

5. Refund Policy

Setup fees are non-refundable after the society has been configured
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable for the current month
If you cancel before the next billing cycle, no further charges will be made
Refund requests for exceptional circumstances will be reviewed case by case

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the platform for any illegal purpose
Upload false or misleading resident data
Attempt to access other societies' data
Reverse engineer or copy the platform
Use the platform to harass residents
Share login credentials publicly
Attempt to bypass security measures

7. Data Responsibility

Society admins are responsible for accuracy of data they enter
NeighbourDesk is not responsible for errors in resident data entered by admin
Admins must obtain consent from residents before entering their personal data
Admins are responsible for communicating privacy practices to their residents

8. Service Availability

We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
Scheduled maintenance will be announced 24 hours in advance
We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions beyond our control

9. Intellectual Property

NeighbourDesk platform, code, design, and branding are owned by NeighbourDesk
Society data entered by admins belongs to the society
You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform

10. Limitation of Liability

NeighbourDesk is not liable for:

Loss of data due to user error
Financial decisions made based on platform reports
Disputes between society admin and residents
Third-party service failures (Google Maps, WhatsApp)
Any indirect or consequential damages

Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid in the last 3 months of subscription.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that:

Violate these Terms of Service
Fail to pay subscription fees
Are used for illegal purposes
Are inactive for more than 12 months

Upon termination, data will be available for export for 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pakistan.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
